Asthma Action/Management Plan: Is an important part of each person's treatment plan. Learn about the plan, and get your own copy to fill out with your doctor.

There are several guidelines for the treatment and management of asthma that help health care providers correctly diagnose and treat the disease. There are several national guidelines, including the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) guidelines and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) guidelines, which both can be downloaded on their websites. The Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) also has an international set of guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of asthma.
